We stayed in unit 1013 at the Phoenix X. The overall property is great; awesome pool, beach area; plenty of bbq's to cook on with great tables to eat at; our unit does need attention - it needs a new door to the balcony - which was a great view of Gulf and beach. Bathroom I used needs some work on molding and needs a deeper cleaning to get rid of the mold in several areas in the bathroom. Beds will eventually need new mattresses but comfortable. They never dusted as you can see by knicknacks on the shelves in living room. Floors need a deeper cleaning. It looks great on the surface. The dining room table needs the edging deep cleaned. We loved the unit three bedrooms - one king/en suite, one queen/en suite and one bedroom with twin beds and bathroom in hallway. Kitchen needs some gadgets, like bottle openers. They do not supply enough toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent or pods for dishwasher - bring your own. Also bring laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The dryer takes for ever to dry; so beware of what you put in so that it is dry when you need it.

The unit was clean, and the overall facility was wonderful. Biggest issue we had was the Security guards. It was almost to the point of harassment. Fair warning to future customers apparently the waterslide and the lazy river are just nearly off limits. It’s almost like the security guards don’t want you to use the facility. Constant harassment about arm bands, and it is the only place I have ever seen that discouraged the use of lifesaving equipment. No floaties on slide then the next guy says it’s fine….. . I don’t know if this is a stupid HOA rule or whatever. Also be prepared for security guards to snap photos of violations of minor children. This really needs to be addressed. It is almost the same as going through a small town with speed traps! Everytime you walked out the building security jumped on you to see who you were. Many people were questioned while trying to take stuff to the beach and told to take stuff back to the room or car until they had a band on…..I mean really!!!!

We stayed at the Phoenix 6 in Orange Beach during a quick weekend trip. At almost $350 a night with cleaning fees, it’s not worth it. PLUS $55 to park your car - not valet, just an overcrowded dark lot. The apartments are tiny with low ceilings and the building is old, the showers and bathroooms are minuscule. There was gobs of mildew in the shower head. The back balconies overlook into other apartments in the building. You are paying for the convenience of location. Stay in Perdido or somewhere else for the beach experience - this isn’t it. We won’t be back.

The Phoenix Hotels has always been an amazing place to stay. Sadly, this trip an employer decided to be rude twice on two separate days! She works at the front desk. We are Phoenix VII. We arrived on June 10 at 4:30. I was checking in at the front desk. It was an older lady with short dark hair. She asked for a room number and I said 7-???. Her response was “Just FYI, just say ??? And not include the 7 because we both know we are already in building 7. It’ll save us a bunch of time. June 11 At 9:00 We were on our last night here and thought we would get lucky and find some extra toilet paper. My husband asked her if they had some. Her response was “This is not a hotel. Get in your car and go find the nearest Dollar General.” This lady made us feel stupid twice. She should not be allowed to work the front desk if she could not deliver nice customer service.

Ok. I just returned from our 4 day vacation at Phoenix 4. It was a great location. The unit we was in; 3 bedroom, 2 bath with balcony (4093) This unit was EXTREMELY dated. The first issue, the TV's in every bedroom had issues with connecting to Dish network. Allow me to rephrase was not able to connect at all. We called twice with no response. The other issue, every TV had VHS players installed (who the hell still has that) celling fans throughout the unit was 30 years old plus and every one of them wobbled when you turned them on. The furniture was marginal but dated as well and worn. The sliding doors was difficult to open and close (simple lube can solve this). It was very apparent that the owner didn't care about his investment. If the price point would have been closer to "get what ya pay for" I would not be leaving this review. For $2,172.00. for a 3 day stay? This was unacceptable. Now, I normally do not complain or leave bad reviews. 90% of the problems was an easy fix. Felling sold and cheated !!!! I stayed here with a group of 2 adults, 2 grandparents, and 2 small children and we had the BEST time! Because every condo unit is maintained differently, I’m just reviewing the common areas of the building. Let me just tell you, this is a WELL run operation! My kids went swimming in the indoor pool every morning, and every morning I saw someone come by and gather water samples to make sure the pools were clean and the chemicals didn’t need adjusting. I SO appreciated that, as some places let the pools get really funky over time. The location is also absolutely perfect. No only are you steps away from the beach, but across the street are: 3 grocery stores, Starbucks, CVS, a liquor store, and restaurants. Everything you need is less than 5 minutes away! Also, and maybe this was because it wasn’t the middle of summer, but we rarely heard anyone else in the building. Maybe once or twice when people were in the hallways, but we never heard a peep to the sides, above, or below our unit. One thing to point out: parking is $55 per car per stay, with no extra spaces. Be prepared! You also have to wear a wristband on the property, so they know you’re not a random person who snuck in to use the water slide. Both of those aren’t really a big deal to me though. I absolutely recommend staying here, if you find a great unit!!
